Job search websites are probably a good topic for today's review. Why I picked this subject? Because after I got tired to freelance I was intrigued with the idea of getting a job, having my own desk and as funny as it might sound, to have my own boss. I never liked to move my ass around the town to buy news papers and read the announcement section. You get the idea, I don't like to search for something, I want them to come for me. So I used some jobs search websites my friends recommended. Some of them are pretty neat, others are quite useless. I'm going to make a short list with the jobs search websites I liked the most:

Jobs At Bank Of America
  1. Beyond - it is probably the largest network activating in the jobs niche
  2. CareerBuilder - very experienced company (activating since 1995)
  3. Craigslist - we all know everything about this one
  4. Hound - funny name, great experience, scores high in the ease of use category
  5. Indeed - great aggregators
  6. JobCentral - if you are looking to work for a big corporation
  7. Linkedin - this is great and I'm going to speak about it
  8. SimplyHired - similar with Indeed

I wrote above that I'm going to talk about LinkedIn so let me do that.

Jobs At Heb

It works like a social media network, but has some restrictions. Even if when we hear about restrictions we nod, these restrictions will be liked by those who are in search for a real job. You can simply add the persons you know and have an account on LinkedIn, but if they check your account and they realise you added someone who you did not know...your account might be disabled. So this is great, you don't risk to be flooded with messages from people you don't know and who are not interested in your CV or your services. Another great thing about this jobs search websites and especially this social network I was telling you about is that you simply post your CV, make a list with tags for jobs you are interested in, a system scans your CV and the list and connects you very fast with an employer interested in your services. You do not need to spend time searching for your job anymore. With these jobs search websites you can just write a great CV, fill the forms and you will soon be contacted by someone who wants your help.
